Darren Wu has been Chair of the Temporary Traffic Management Industry Steering Group since 2024.

He is Client Director for Waka Kotahi as of Beca’s Advisory business in their Land Transport leadership team.

Darren has been involved in several major projects including having worked on Te Tupu Ngātahi (Supporting Growth Alliance) which is currently the largest planning alliance in the country helping plan ahead for the major future housing growth areas across the Auckland region through the route protection of essential transport corridors.

Having also served as the Traffic Lead on some of New Zealand’s transformational transport infrastructure projects including Victoria Park Tunnel and Waterview Connection, he is passionate about collaborative approaches to planning and delivering.
